Terms

Dad's Ad is a community for making ads nobody asked for. We also understand that nobody asked for a wall of legal text, so the important parts come first.

The short version

Read the full Terms14 sections covering accounts, content, moderation, and outside transactions

1. Purpose and agreement

These Terms govern the relationship between Dad's Ad and visitors or account holders. By creating an account or using member features such as posting, commenting, or reacting, you agree to these Terms and the Community Rules.

2. The service and age requirement

Dad's Ad is a community where people make, discover, and react to short unofficial ads for objects, places, brands, and ideas. During the public pilot, you must be at least 18 to create an account.

3. Accounts

Keep your registration details accurate and your sign-in method secure. Do not impersonate someone or use multiple accounts to evade restrictions or manipulate reactions. Each nickname and Creator ID must be unique.

4. Creator content and ownership

Creators keep ownership of videos, copy, comments, and other content they post. While content is posted, you give Dad's Ad a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license needed to store, format, display, transmit, distribute, moderate, and show attributed public posts when explaining or promoting the service. We may sublicense only what service providers need to operate Dad's Ad.

This license does not let a brand run your work as an ad, own it, or use it forever. Sponsorship, remakes, licensing, and brand use require a separate, explicit agreement with the creator.

5. Your responsibility and disclosures

You are responsible for having a valid basis to post the content and use its music, footage, likenesses, personal information, and marks. Do not imply that a target requested, approved, or funded an ad when it did not. Disclose money, free products, affiliate commission, or your own business using the labels provided.

6. What is not allowed

Do not post illegal content, child sexual exploitation, hate, harassment, threats, private information, impersonation, deceptive ads, encouragement of dangerous conduct, malware, spam, unauthorized promotion, manipulated reactions or views, ban evasion, service disruption, or unauthorized automated collection. The Community Rules explain how these standards apply.

7. Moderation and appeals

When we reasonably suspect a rule, safety, or rights issue, we may reject a post, add a label, limit visibility, temporarily restrict access, remove content, limit features, or suspend an account. Unless urgency or law prevents it, we will try to explain the reason. You may ask Support to review a decision.

8. Feeds and paid advertising

Community activity and relevance shape the ordinary feed. Paid inventory is labelled and separated from community posts. Payment cannot buy ordinary feed rank, fake reactions, creator ownership, or an official endorsement.

9. External products and donation links

A product purchase is between you and the external seller; Dad's Ad is not the seller or payment party. Donation links open an external organization's page. Dad's Ad does not hold the donation or issue a receipt. Check price, shipping, refunds, and privacy terms before leaving the service.

10. Brand inquiries

A verified advertiser may send a private inquiry after finding a public ad. It cannot continue the conversation until the creator accepts. An inquiry or acceptance alone does not create sponsorship, employment, licensing, or a transfer of ownership, and Dad's Ad is not a party to a separate deal between them.

11. Changes and availability

We may improve, add, remove, or pause features, including for maintenance. We do not promise uninterrupted service or a particular number of views, reactions, earnings, or brand contacts. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.

12. Leaving and data handling

You can delete your account in Settings. Public profiles, ads, comments, and private conversation text are removed under the Privacy Policy. Records needed for security, disputes, refunds, accounting, or law may be retained in limited or anonymized form. Copies already shared by others or held in external search caches may not disappear immediately.

13. Changes to these Terms

We will post the effective date and an explanation when these Terms change. We aim to give at least 7 days' notice for ordinary changes and 30 days for a change that materially disadvantages users. We will request fresh consent when the law requires it.

14. Responsibility, law, and disputes

Users are responsible for their content and dealings with external sellers, advertisers, and other third parties. Dad's Ad does not exclude liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct or liability that law does not allow us to exclude; other liability is limited only as applicable law permits. Korean law governs these Terms, and disputes will be heard by a court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

Questions about these Terms or a moderation decision can be sent to Support.
